We left our yellow-doored Twizzle rental in the morning for and easy drive to Queenstown. There was a bit of mountain driving but it seemed to be mostly wide flat valleys.
Having arrived in Queenstown, we decided to visit one of the wineries we had passed on the way into town. This one with the huge silvered garden gnome suggested at least a sense of humor.
Jan and Bev decided on tasting flights. Mike wasn't interested and Paul was the driver although he did take a few sniffs and teaspoon-sized tastes.
At the end of the tasting, the olive bowl was also empty.
The Ayrbern winery is set on an old sheep farm and has been made over into restaurants and potential retirement community. We walked uphill a bit on the property to find this waterfall.
On the way back to the parking lots, we were a little creeped out, feeling that we were being watched all the way.
